The Cutest Cupcakes from Caketoppers

Photo Cupcakes from Caketoppers

It’s coming up to my one year wedding anniversary so you can imagine how excited I was when these super cute cupcakes arrived on my doorstep a couple of weeks ago. Anyone who knows me is fully aware of my love/obsession with cupcakes and nothing beats a delicious sponge and icing combination apart from a cake and icing combo with my face on it of course. Well done Caketoppers, you really know how to brighten up my day. They’ve also given me a lovely little go-to gift idea to make my friend’s and family’s upcoming occasions that little bit more special.

Airport Chic: Travelling in Style with Tani USA

Untitled #102

Airport Essentials: *Tani USA Black Leggings and Long Sleeved Top (here) | Black Burberry sunnies (here) | Sephora Rose Eye Mask (here) | Beats By Dre Headphones (here) Rose Gold Version (here) | Nike Roshe Run trainers (here) | Givenchy Antigone bag (here) | Aspinal of London Passport holder (here) | Black eye mask (here).

The last couple of months has been a whirlwind with back to back trips to Marbella and Mallorca so there’s no better time to go through my list of flight essentials that tend to come with me on most holidays. Due to the first couple of flights being under three hours, I stuck to my staple travel attire for both of these European getaways which consists of my stretchiest black Zara jeans and my go-to denim shirt. However, when I jetted off to NYC this June, I wanted the ultimate long haul outfit that wouldn’t make the 7 hour flight more unbearable than it had to be. Introducing the ultimate travel outfit from Tani USA.

Four Things You Must Do in Atlantic City

Atlantic City

Dress: Maje (annoyingly in the sale here) | Shoes: Sam Edelman (in the sale here) | Bag: Chloe (here) | Sunnies: Louis Vuitton (here).

We visited Atlantic City almost by accident and completely last minute so we had little idea of what to expect on arrival. We drove from Rhode Island and the journey was mostly spent frantically googling the best things to do and see but there really wasn’t a lot to go on so I thought I’d put together a list of my favourite things about Atlantic City should you find yourself there in search of fun (and a little luxury). Is it like Vegas? Will you hit the jackpot? Is there a decent spa? Join me as I answer all of these questions and more.

Where to Stay in NYC: The Roger Hotel

Roger Hotel NYC

If you follow me on Instagram, you will know I recently explored the East Coast of America. First stop? NYC! I’m a pretty demanding hotel guest so when it came to choosing a place to stay in New York, I did quite a lot of research to ensure the first few nights of our East Coast road trip was perfect. I used to read all kinds of articles when researching hotels but now I tend to browse reviews by other bloggers (I found this hotel via a review on Coco’s Tea Party) and then check the hotel out on Trip Advisor before booking. Travelling to NYC is a fairly exhausting experience so having a cloud like bed to slip into is essential and I’m pretty sure there’s isn’t a softer place to rest your head in the city. The Roger Hotel is located on Madison Avenue, a mere three blocks away from the Empire State Building so it’s the perfect central location if you plan to fit in a few touristy sights during your trip. Free Wifi? Check! A bed larger than my bedroom at home? Check! Did I mention there’s a complimentary wine hour? Read on as we check in to the Roger Hotel. Here are ten reasons why I love this little boutique beauty.

The Woman’s Crush Wednesday Club

As a self employed freelance writer and blogger, I’m always looking for relevant networking opportunities and reading blogs run by inspirational females. So, when JPR Media Group got in touch to tell me about their Woman’s Crush Wednesday Club I couldn’t resist sharing the concept with you. I’m regularly asked for advice on taking the leap into the freelance community and how I have managed to carve my own career path since leaving the company I worked for two years ago and so it’s only natural that there will be a few freelance related posts popping up now and again on my blog. So let’s get to it. I couldn’t write this post without giving a little thought to the women who inspire me on a business level. Natasha Oakley may be renowned for her flawless curves and her ability to rock a bikini but while her body confidence is without a doubt inspiring it is her business acumen that I find so empowering. Her bikini line Monday Swimwear is all about positive body image and recognising the beauty in your body regardless of your shape and size.

Guest Post: The Art of Relaxation (and why it’s important)

Exciting news everyone! I’m currently cruising above the clouds at 3000 feet en-route to NYC where I’ll be staying for the next 2 weeks so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to introduce a fabulous Leeds blogger in the form of a guest post. I rarely accept guest posts on Remie’s Luxury Blog but I always love finding new blogs to read and Sophie Cliff is one of the few blogs that I read regularly for travel inspiration and I genuinely love her outlook on life. Sophie has very kindly created a lovely blog post all about downtime and why it’s important to squeeze into your busy schedule.

Creating the Ultimate Sleeping Space for Summer

There’s something so lovely about booking a night away in a luxury hotel. I love everything about it from the impossibly large beds to the cute and quirky finishing touches that make each hotel unique. This weekend we had the pleasure of staying at the Woodhall Hotel and Spa and only the promise of buttery toast and blueberry muffins could tempt me away from quite honestly the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in. I love the luxury of sleeping in a hotel room when I’m away but one thing I always look forward to after a holiday is sleeping in my own bed. I love nothing more than sinking into my super soft sheets with a good book and a cup of green tea (ah the glamorous life). As a result, I’m always on the look out for new luxurious bedding brands and any other type of products that will enhance my sleeping space in general. A fragrant linen spray, a cosy bed throw and of course a cloud like duvet. So when Frette got in touch to introduce their luxury bedding collection, it was the perfect opportunity to share my bedroom essentials and give you a few tips on how to create that five star boutique hotel room feel at home.
