So, there’s a new nail salon in town and I wanted to tell you all about it in case you are looking for a really flawless manicure or pedicure while you’re in Leeds city centre. They do walk-ins! I don’t know about you but I have a really varied set of needs and wants when it comes to beauty salons. I need a local one that I can rely on for basic maintenance but I also like the luxury option when I want some me time, a salon that makes it easy to get beauty done on a work day and the one where I know they have my favourite colours. This one ticks a range of boxes, from convenience (who doesn’t love a walk-in appointment when you have an unexpected trip or event?), luxury (everything is brand spanking new and high tech) and practicality (you can use the trays to work on your laptop while you get a pedi). *Applauds*
So what did I love about it? The salon interior is stunning, there’s luxurious pedicure stations and a beautiful curved manicure bar as well as some super cute additions like the unlimited cuticle oil refil stations and ice coffee cans. The self-check-in is a nice touch too. This is very much a digital nail salon, while the treatments themselves are really personable, you choose your nail shade via a QR code which might not be for everyone. Something new for me was the single-use equipment, every file and tool used is for you only and you get to take away your nail file with you which is super handy if like me you can never find one at home. Hygiene is so important these days more than ever so it’s nice to know you are in safe hands here with hospital grade sterilisation. If it’s classy nail art you want, you will find it here, there’s a lookbook featuring some really elegant styles.
So, that’s the general gist of what Townhouse offers. But what about my own experience? Well, my pedicure was phenomenal. You won’t find the usual gel brands here and Townhouse name their own shades so choosing took me a little longer than usual but my nail technician was really patient with me and I didn’t feel rushed at all. If you get Georgia, you are truly blessed because my cuticles have never looked more flawless. I chose an autumnal shade and it’s still absolutely perfect 3 weeks on. Now let me just say, these girls are METICULOUS. This is no place to pop in if you have half an hour between appointments. This is a leisurely, thorough treatment that will leave you feeling a million dollars. Just not for you if you like to work at a mile a minute speed.
The vibe is really trendy, you can tell that this salon originated in London, you could forgive yourself for thinking you were in Mayfair. But with London vibes comes London prices and yes there’s a £10 fee for gel removal meaning my pedicure (while complimentary for me to review) was priced at £59 and this was the signature pedicure with gel polish. I would 100% recommend this salon for a solid option if you need a last-minute appointment or you want to feel pampered. It would also be the prefect gift to book for a loved one. Book in here.
