I have a confession to make. I’m finding it increasingly hard to go to work. Christmas is being extremely distracting this year and it seems all I really want to do is shop for fabulous gifts and sip gingerbread lattes. However, there is a little pizza shaped light at the end of the tunnel. I’ve found the secret to getting through those last few weeks at work and it’s pizza.
Pizza?! I know, I know, we’re all trying to squeeze into our little black dresses but this isn’t your ordinary food coma inducing pizza. It’s from the new Pizza Express lunch menu. It’s light, it’s crispy and it’s only £4.95! I was invited to try the menu at the Harrogate Pizza Express and it certainly brightened up my day.
Christmas songs were playing, the scene was set and I was delighted with the new lunch pizza. It’s small so you feel a little smug after eating it but unlike the salad pizza, it’s surprisingly satisfying. We ordered the American pizza and a classic Margherita which wasn’t as good looking as the American but what it lacked in looks it made up for in taste. The best bit about the lunch menu is you don’t have to feel guilty about ordering sides. We ordered a teeny lunch sized portion of dough balls (these are my absolute favourite food ever and I’m wondering if I can sneak them into Christmas day dinner) and polenta chips. I’m going back this week to try the new Panino, a sandwich made out of pizza dough. Yum! Make lunch times a little more fun with the Pizza Express menu. I’d book here as lunch times tend to get busy.
