Hair Care Rehab for Blondes

If you want to undo all of the damage done over the years from the endless blow drying, straightening, curling and styling it’s time to go back to basics.

Shampoo and Conditioner

Every good hair care routine requires a high quality shampoo and conditioner and if you have blonde locks, choosing a hair care range that is designed for blondes is just one way to put the life back in to frazzled coloured hair. I’ve been using three shampoos and conditioners on rotation for the last year.

Wella Professionals Brilliance

The hairdresser’s choice £9.49

This was a Christmas gift from my auntie last year and I have been hooked ever since. As a hairdresser, her gift giving takes the form of beautiful hair in a bottle. It’s intensive, used by hair care professionals and you won’t find it on the shelves in Boots. For this reason, it is more expensive than your average shampoo and conditioner and therefore I tend to use it once a month as a treat.

Aussie Colour Mate

Budget Buy£4.49

The Colour Mate shampoo and conditioner is great for blondes that want to transform their dry, limp locks into hair that is voluminous, shiny and sumptuously soft. I tend to use this on the days after my highlights have been done as it tends to be quite dry. Noticeably softer after just one use.

John Frieda Sheer Blonde

Editor’s Pick! Luxury for Less £5.25

I use the John Frieda highlight activating moisturising shampoo and conditioner to keep my colour vibrant between trips to the hairdresser. It’s by far the best budget shampoo for blondes and it really makes your colour stand out. At £5.25 a bottle, it’s luxurious haircare minus the luxury price tag.

Hair Masks and Treatments

Sometimes, shampoo and conditioner simply isn’t enough. If it’s time to bring in the big guns, these intensive treatments will whip your hair into tip top condition at speed.

Macadamia Natural Oil

The Newbie! £24.00

This brand is new on the scene but once you have tried this deep repair mask, you will be hooked. It’s luxurious and powerful and is the perfect solution for dry, frazzled blondes.

Kerastase Reflection

The Cult Beauty Buy! £26.00

This iconic haircare brand is pricy but totally worth every penny. This replenishing mask will transform you hair making your highlights pop.

Moroccan Oil Intense Hydration

Editor’s Pick! £23.00

I’m a huge fan of the Moroccan Oil range and although the shampoo and conditioner are too pricy to use every day, this hydration mask is a perfect treat when you need a little pampering.
