Nine Must-Pack Items for Morocco

fashion

Hey hunny buns, I have a little belter of a fashion post for you all today. Farfetch have challenged a number of bloggers to create a post inspired by their shiny new online style guide and I’m particularly in love with their destination specific style posts (this Amalfi Coast style guide makes me want to jump on a plane now) so I thought I’d create my own Moroccon themed fashion guide. I went to Morocco back in April and I found unlike a trip to spain or france, it’s dress code is a little tricky. First of all, there is the hot dry heat to cater to and of course, with Morocco being a Muslim country, you can’t show too much skin. So, I opted for demure floaty pieces with some pretty fabulous accessories and of course some statement swimwear.

The trick to packing for Morocco is to pick a few key pieces that you can mix and match (think Gok Wan). This cuts down the amount of garments you need to squeeze in to the case while maximising your outfit options.

The long floaty maxi dress-Morocco is a full sensory overload when it comes to textiles and textures so don’t be afraid to embrace a print or two. You simply can’t go wrong with a maxi dress. Ideal for walking around the markets, this boho inspired maxi dress one covers the shoulders and is easy to throw on with your favourite sliders and cross body bag.

The One Piece Swimsuit-Oh how I love a one piece. The dress code is more relaxed when you are in a hotel but I still opted for a high impact one piece over a bikini. Not only are they ideal for sunbathing, you can add a pair of denim shorts when exploring your home for the week.

The Cross Body Bag-Ideal to take on day trips as you can wear it cross body and keep it close to you and ideal to match all of your evening outfits, a neutral coloured shoulder bag will go with everything.

Fancy Flats-Opt for a pair of dressy gold flats that can be worn night and day. These gold sliders are perfect.

Statement Sunnies-You are going to want a statement pair of sunnies pair of trainers that you can wear out and about or around the pool.

Tassel Earrings-The ultimate accessory to wear day or night. I’m obsessed with these ones.

Add a touch of bronze and highlight and you are good to go.
