The Best Beauty Addresses in Leeds and Beyond

Blowdry of dreams from Show Beauty…

I recently downloaded a time management type app that shows you fun things like how many hours you spend in the house, how many hours of sleep you get and how many steps you take on a daily basis. I love Apps like this because, I for one, spend too much time sat on my ass and not enough time walking off those cakes. It’s also a great way to see where you spend most of your time and one thing that this new app addition has highlighted is that I go to the beauticians. A LOT.

Manicures, pedicures, eyebrow waxes, massages, facials, LVL, spray tans. I’m fairly high maintainance when it comes to my beauty regime. It has taken me years to find places that know exactly how to put an arch back in my eyebrows, the perfect french manicure for my nails and the natural shade of fake tan.

Trust me, there has been a lot of beauty mishaps along the way but once you find that person who can spray tan you with not an orange elbow in sight, you hang onto them like gold. I have tried most of the salons in Leeds and the surrounding area so I thought I would give you a round up of the best beauty treatments in Leeds. Because, well, no one deserves to come out of the salon with what can only be described as one and a half eyebrows.

Beauty treatments in Leeds

Bliss – The Convenient One

Best at: Last Minute Mani Pedis

First up is my local salon Bliss. Based in Horsforth, I often visit for last minute manicures, pedicures and massages. It’s the closest salon to me and you can always get an appointment. Handy for when you have an unexpected meeting or occasion or simply can’t look at your chipped nails for another second.

It’s quick, fuss free and they have loyalty cards.

They also stock my favourite ever summer nail polish shade Pool Party by China Glaze in a gel form. Oh how I can’t wait for summer nails!

Koko Beauty – My Go To

Best at: EVERYTHING. EVER.

Koko Beauty Spa is my ultimate favourite pamper spot.

As it’s based almost an hour away from me in Kirkburton, I tend to go when I need everything doing so it’s totally worth the drive. There is nothing this salon can’t do and the owner is the only person who I trust with my brows.

I’ve blogged about them before (here) and been known to spend hours here and if I have a holiday in the pipeline you can guarantee that I’ll be booked in here the day before for brows, tanning, nails and LVL. That being said, if I need a spray tan for a special occasion, I’ll make the journey as they are the only place I’ve found that can give you a great looking tan that won’t go patchy or orange.

They use Xen Tan products and won’t make you do gymnastics in the spray tan tent to make sure they have got all the awkward areas. They also do an incredible three hour tan should you need it for that night.

If you like massages, their full body massage will make you feel like a new woman. I usually bulk buy them and use them as rewards for hauling my ass to the gym. I just wish they had bedrooms and then I’d probably move in.

Nails Inc – The Luxury One

Best at: Walk in Gel Manicures

If you like to splash out on your nails, Nails Inc is your new city centre pamper spot. Great for walk in appointments, the Nails Inc nail bar has a number of benefits. You get lots of different colour choices as Nails inc have different shades than Shellac (Victoria is my go to shade) and you get Champagne on the side. It’s all very fancy.

Now, just a heads up, this is probably one of the most expensive places to have your nails done in Leeds but I was really pleased with my gels and only mildly mortified by the £20 soak off charge. They lasted almost three weeks. This won’t be for everyone but if you like your pampering with a side of champagne, this one is worth the hefty price tag.

Pout Beauty – The Fancy One

What I get: Pedicures, Indian Head Massage

This salon is based in Chapel Allerton and it has those really fancy pedicure chairs with a built in foot spa. They kindly fit me in before my trip to Tenerife which both me and my toes were extremely thankful for.

They have such a huge selection of nail options which I love. I recently tried out an Indian Head massage here and it was phenomenal. Indian head massages are one of my favourite treatments to get when you need a little me time and I can’t wait to visit Pout again to explore their treatment options further.

They also have an online booking system which is perfect if you want to book well in advance.

Liz Earle Treatment Room Leeds-The Botanical One

What I get: Facials

Did you know that there are treatments rooms hidden above their Leeds store? I visited last year and have been thinking about their amazing facials ever since. If you are getting married and want to uncover your skin’s potential, book a course STAT.

Medifine -The Experts
What I get: Resurfacing treatments

Every so often my skin requires something a little more powerful and that’s when I visit Medifine Aesthetics in Chapel Allerton for their fire and ice resurfacing treatment. I blogged this here and it’s quite honestly the most amazing treatment, I didn’t want to wear makeup for the week after I’d had it done.

Show Beauty-The Blowdry Queens

What I get:Walk in Blow Dry

If I have a wedding or a fancy night out on the cards, Show Beauty is my first port of call. They have a handy blow dry bar in Harvey Nichols and the most incredible styling products that smell like caramel and candy. Need an impromtu up do? Or perhaps some seriously sexy waves? No problem.

Angels of London:

What I get: Hair Colour and Cut

I’ve been going to Angels of London in Leeds since I can remember for my monthly colour and cut. I always get complements on my hair and they deserve all the credit. A good hairdresser makes life mush easier, after all, hair is 90% of your selfie!

If you make an appointment, ask for Louise, she has been doing my hair for years and she is the one who works her magic on my highlights. She’s also the one who created my wedding hair which I’m eternally thankful for.

She’s amazing and she doesn’t judge you for bringing snacks to eat while you are waiting for the colour to take. Win win!

Where are your fave places to beautify in Leeds? Let me know in the comments!

I’m going to book in for lots of pre holiday beauty treatments next month before my trip to Morocco, so make sure you are following on Snapchat and Instagram and I’ll take you with me.
