Creating a Cosy Home

Untitled #17
Brrrr. As the darker nights draw in, I’m stockpiling cosy cushions and throws to make my home feel that little bit more welcoming. Whether you are hosting guests this Christmas, or you simply want to create a cosy home for you, I’ve put together the ultimate interiors wish list to warm your cockles. Candles, chandeliers and cashmere, oh my!

I may hate grey gloomy days but when it comes to grey interiors, it would seem I’m fairly obsessed. First up, let’s talk about lighting. Winter is not about cold clinical lighting and one way to create a cosy ambience is by filling each room with a soft glow. Introducing the ultimate glow giving chandeliers from Cox and Cox. A chandelier is one of the most effective ways to transform the feel of a room and the Florence chandelier is right at the top of my wish list. I mean just look at that chic rustic design. This chandelier would look beautiful above a dining table adding a air of magic to any festive feast.

Chandeliers provide a softer light which means all you have to do is dot around a few candles and the effect will be nothing less than enchanting. I’m obsessed with three wick candles at the moment and I’m currently burning my way through my favourite Neom Christmas wish candle but this Noir candle from The White Company is the next on my list. For something a little more seasonal, this kissing stag candle holder from Marks and Spencer is super cute.

Cushions are the perfect finishing touch to a cosy home and you can’t beat some festive designs like this typography one from Houseology. Complement it perfectly with the ultimate oversized cosy knit throw by UGG.

Toasty toes are essential in the colder months so why not warm them up with a pair of comfy cable knit slippers (I mean just look at that pom pom detail) or perhaps a mermaid tail blanket is a must? *whispers* It also comes in pink.
