Curls by Show Beauty…

Life is one big learning curve especially when it comes to hair and beauty. We’ve all learned from our beauty mistakes whether it’s over plucking our eyebrows as a teen, using concealer as lipstick or fake tanning ourselves to within an inch of our lives. Let’s not even talk about the too short fringe. But with age comes experience and it is no exaggeration when I say I’ve scoured the city in search of the best salons not to mention hair products. I may not have my life together at all times but I know where to go when I need a bloody good blow dry. Is the Show Beauty haircare collection the fast track to bouncy, envy inducing hair? Housed in glamorous bottles, these products are the definition of luxury.

When it comes to beauty, I’m fairly high maintenance but the truth is when my hair is blow dried, my nails are painted and my eyebrows are waxed, I feel like I can take over the world. In my job, there is a lot of turning up to events alone, a lot of meeting with clients and networking which quite frankly strikes the fear of God into my heart. Some days I feel confident introducing myself to new people and some days I want to hide in the toilet with my phone and a strong G & T. There is a thing that connects all of my confident days and that is when you look polished and put together, confidence comes with it. I get my hair coloured at Angels of London but I was invited to try out the Show Beauty blow dry bar in Harvey Nichols and this is now my go-to place for a big bouncy blow dry. I was introduced to some life changing hair products so if you want to wave goodbye to flat hair, I have the perfect solution. The lovely Chelsey created these incredible curls and I can honestly say I didn’t think my hair was capable of looking this voluminous and bouncy. So many of my friends thought the pictures on my Instagram were of a hair model as my hair is usually so fine. The Show Beauty team kindly sent me the products Chelsey used during my visit so that I could create the look at home.

The Show Beauty products are so luxurious and the packaging is to die for but would you expect anything else from Tamara Eccleston? I was kindly sent a selection of products from the range, most of which had been used during my treatment at Harvey Nichols and I couldn’t wait to put them to the test. I was so impressed with the results of my blow dry so I couldn’t wait to see how the products performed when they weren’t in the hands of an expert. I’ve been trialling the Show Sublime Repair shampoo and conditioner for a few weeks now and the condition of my hair has improved significantly (especially the ends). You only need to use the tiniest bit of shampoo to create a lovely lather. My favourite thing about the shampoo and conditioner (apart from the incredible packaging) is the scent. The whole Show Beauty range smells like caramel but the shampoo and conditioner really locks in the scent so that your hair smells amazing all day. At £32 each, these are pricy products and my main concern was are you simply paying for fancy bottles? The shampoo contains caviar and white truffle extract among other things so that may explain the price tag. Both the shampoo and conditioner are completely paraben free.

Another key product in the Show Beauty range is the Sublime Repair treatment mask. Again, the packaging is stunning even if it’s not very shower friendly. Packed with quinoa proteins and caviar, again this mask is a luxurious addition to your haircare collection, especially if you bleach yours regularly like I do. One of the things that I noticed the most after my blow dry experience was how thick the ends of my hair had become. Enter the Divine Thickening Lotion. This is perhaps my favourite product in the range because of it’s immediate results. It’s heat activated and it really thickens up the ends of your hair and gives you that coveted salon finish. It contains aloe vera extract to smooth hair while giving lots of extra volume. I then use the Thickening Mist on the roots. For someone who doesn’t use anything but a leave in conditioning spray, this felt like I was using a lot of product but my hair didn’t feel greasy or weighed down by them. Have you tried Show Beauty?
