Winter Wish List

Fashion
Oh, my social calendar is starting to fill up with glitzy affairs on the run up to the festive season and with only 10 weeks to go I’m finally allowed to say the C word. Coast. It’s my go-to brand for everything festive. Evening outfits are my favourite things to invest in and my winter wardrobe is basically lots of different little black dresses with the occasional flash of metallic. If you are feeling spendy, I’ve found some spectacular dresses should your party wardrobe be in need of a reboot. Oh and shoes of course. In this post you’ll find everything you need to sparkle this season from intricate embroidered lace designs to shimmering sequin loveliness (not to mention the ultimate statement shoes) from brands I go back to time and time again when I need something that little bit extra special.

First up is the ultimate party piece from Ted Baker. This is the perfect going out dress that will always ensure you steal the spotlight. Yes, it’s eye-wateringly expensive for a high-street brand and you could casually pick up a pair of Jimmy Choos for that price but just look at those jewels. This stunner is firmly on my wish-list and I’ve justified it as I think it would come out every year to save me from those what on earth am I going to wear to that moments.

This season’s staple sequin mini dress has been updated with an ombre design that is bang on trend. I personally love long sleeved mini dresses and this stunning Coast number would make a great little option for the office Xmas party or a date night. I love the bronze and gold sequin combination. I’ve always loved Coast dresses and they have outdone themselves this year when it comes to show-stopping dresses. I want them all!

I’m in desperate need for some slightly more formal outfit options and I have my eye on this lace embroidered dress from Karen Millen. This brand is another one that I barely notice from January to July but once it starts getting colder I pop in for those must have winter wardrobe updates. I think this dress looks way more expensive that it really is and it definitely has a designer feel to it. I’m obsessed with the high neck and the lace sleeves.

For fancy dinner dates and festive family gatherings, there’s this gorgeous girly metallic dress from Coast. Everyone needs a little fail safe skater style dress, and this great for those dressed up but not too fancy occasions.

I only own one pair of black evening shoes and I think that should change. There are some incredible options out there from understated suede courts to bow embellishments and mesh panels. These go with anything black Jimmy Choos are a clever investment while these flirty Kurt Geiger courts are all you need to jazz up that classic black dress. The strappy Steve Madden shoes are a purse friendly option while the Gianvito Rossi ones are divine if you want to splash the cash.
