I know, right? It’s been a really long time since I wrote a foodie post but this one is worth the wait. It should come as no surprise to you that I spend most Saturdays brunching somewhere and what’s better than brunch on a Saturday? A boozy brunch on a Saturday of course. A week ago I added another excellent venue to my all time favourite brunch spots in Yorkshire so I thought I’d whip up a quick post to explain why you should add it to your list too. You may have seen a sneak peek of this on my Snapchat so if you wondered what possible excuse I had for drinking the good stuff at 10.15, it will all become clear. Brunch at The Champagne Concept: £20pp
The Champagne Concept has teamed up with Baltzersens to provide the most delicious brunch. I tried to opt for the slightly healthier option of avo on toast but gave in to the temptation of these incredible heart shaped waffles with nutella AND salted caramel toppings. *whispers* Oh and a hefty dollop of cream. If you are wondering where you have seen these magnificent waffles before, it may have been in this blog post. Yes, I’m no stranger to Baltzersens. We were served a chilled glass of Roger Manceaux champagne (pink for me and brut for Mum) while we decided on what to order and another glass to enjoy with brunch.
The Champagne Concept specialise in champagne tasting sessions (as well as luxury brunch experiences)which are a great way to spend an afternoon discovering a few different champagnes whether you want to indulge in a luxury experience, stock up your champagne collection at home or simply expand your knowledge. Now, I’ve always wanted to do a champagne tasting as my knowledge on boutique champagnes is fairly minimal so I can’t wait to pop in again sometime soon to learn more.
