Inside the Ideal World Bloggers Box

Huddle close, I’ve got some exciting beauty discoveries for you. While I tend to stick to what I know in terms of beauty, I love it when a new brand blows my socks off. I’m a bit of a floozy when it comes to where I choose to shop for my must-have products. I tend to get all of my monthly essentials in one big haul both on the high street and online. I do love discovering new places to shop for beauty so when the lovely Ideal World team got in touch with news of a bloggers goodie bag, I was more than a little bit intrigued. I had heard of Ideal World, the home shopping channel before but I had no idea they sold beauty products so I’m excited to share with you a few of the brands they stock that are totally new to me and my first impressions on some of their products.

Ideal-world

The Ideal World team sent over a box of goodies to give me a taste of what they offer when it comes to beauty and I have to say I was suitably impressed. Let’s start with my favourite product of the lot, the brightening treatment from Elizabeth Grant. Now, I’ve never heard of this luxurious Canadian brand and I was surprised to realise it has been around for 60 years.

Now, usually I test out a skincare product for at least two weeks before reporting on it but this treatment had an instant effect. The lid unscrews to reveal a triple rollerball application that you use to massage the product into the skin. If you suffer from dull or dry skin this product will be an absolute skin saviour and it’s the perfect size to take away with you. I applied this before I went to the gym and I couldn’t help but notice that there was a noticeably brighter and more youthful looking complexion staring back at me in the rear view mirror. It contains vitamin C, green tea, ginger, spirulina and broccoli seed oil. I can only imagine how handy this little tube will be on a hangover day or on holiday after a day in the sun. The box also included an eye cream from the same range which leaves the eye area feeling all silky and smooth.

Glycolic-mask

Next up is a Glycolic face mask from Elizabeth Grant’s Wonder Effect range. The texture is a clay like cream that glides on and is designed to both exfoliate and hydrate the skin. I really feel like face masks are having a bit of a revival at the minute and clay masks are my favourite. This one has all of the goodness of a sheet mask without the scare factor.

Lip-Stain

Also included in my box were a lip stain and a cheek tint, both by Elizabeth Grant. If you follow me on Snapchat, you will have seen me swatch the lip product during the unboxing of this package and you will know that it survived not one but three showers. This is a lip stain with a lot of staying power. The shade is Sugar Rose and it is as pale and beautiful as it sounds. It gives a subtle hint of colour for those natural days when you don’t need a heavy makeup look. The two products complement each other perfectly. The cheeky tint is no ordinary cheek tint, it contains collagen to plum up the skin and add a youthful appearance but at $25 you would expect it to take the years off.

Fabulift

I actually squealed in excitement when I saw the Fabulift Fabulous Eyes product as I’ve heard really great things about this product. You only need the tiniest amount of the clear gel like substance and I think you could realistically get around 30 applications from this tube. As soon as you apply this, you can feel a tightening sensation around the eyes and my skin definitely looked and felt more youthful. I don’t have an enormous amount of wrinkles around my eyes (my forehead is a problem area) but I’m going to pass this on for my Mum to try as I know this type of product is right up her street.

Zhuzh-tan-accelerator

Last but not least, there’s the tan accelerator swipe from Zhuzh. Now this clever little wipe has no fake tan on it, it is actually a tan intensifying product that boosts the natural pigment in your skin to provide a deeper tan. I will be packing these wipes with me for my next vacation or I may try them out in the UK if the sun ever decides to come out this summer.

This box isn’t available to buy as it was simple designed to showcase what Ideal World have to offer beauty lovers but you can find all of these products on their website here.
