#Life Goals

IMG_0120

Is anyone else a teeny tiny bit excited about Autumn? I don’t know about you but there is something deeply satisfying about a new season. New married name. New wardrobe. New life goals. For me, the A/W months are my most productive ones and as tomorrow marks the Autumn Equinox (the only time when the day and night are equal in length) and the very last day of summer, I thought I’d put together a post that details all my goals for the season ahead. I’m talking about realistic life goals by the way not the ones where you become besties with Taylor Swift. Yes, it is tempting to hibernate until Christmas but as days get shorter it’s the perfect opportunity to re-evaulate life and achieve the things you set out to achieve at the beginning of the year.

So what’s brought on this sudden need to get s*it done? I’m not sure whether it’s because I turned 30 this year or perhaps because I just got married a few weeks ago or it could be something to do with the impending Lunar Eclipse but I woke up this morning feeling positive about the months ahead. Here are just a few of the areas I intend to improve and how.

Get Published

My main goal when I went freelance was simply to survive. In the last year I’ve proved to myself that I can get regular work and I’ve managed to build a decent freelance portfolio. This is the first time I’ve really had a chance to evaluate where my freelance business is going and set new goals for the future. It’s very easy to get consumed with meeting deadlines and searching for new clients but I plan to be a little more adventurous this year and try and get my name out there a bit more. Mission get published begins!

Plan in Gym Time

In no less than a month’s time I’ll be landing in the Maldives with only a few itsy bitsy bikinis to protect my modesty so my main goal for the next few months is to put some sort of gym routine in place. If you follow me on Instagram you may have noticed a few healthy snacks appearing here and there and I’ve just made it back from an amazing fitness retreat in the Cotswolds. After 8 sessions of exercise a day, I should be able to manage an hour 4 times a week. *flexes bicep*

Blog Blog Blog

In the past couple of month’s I’ve taken a step back from blogging due to wedding and work commitments and I kind of want to get back into it but in a different way. I’ve decided to take my blog in a new direction and completely re-brand it. Watch this space!

Book a Psychic Reading

Those who know me best will know how much I love a psychic reading but it isn’t really a topic I talk about on my blog. I haven’t been for a reading since I went freelance and this is something that is way overdue. A new season is the perfect time to have your fortune read. I always find it helps me to stay positive and look forward to the coming months.

This post was written in collaboration with TheCircle but as always the opinions are 100% my own.

Great post. Like you, I seem to go into action when the Autumn appears (not sure if it’s the remnants from school days!). If you need a good psychic reading I can strongly recommend someone who I consult regularly. She specifically works with entrepreneurs (but I consult her about everything and she is spot on every time) so drop me a tweet (@VanLuxuria) if you want me to link you up. Congratulations on the wedding also x
