AKA one of the best things you will ever put on your face. Now, I know I like to exaggerate a little bit sometimes (all the time) but this little gem from Clarins has genuinely changed my life. My makeup bag consists of two kinds of products. New releases and cult classics.  This product falls into the latter category as it has been around for years, I remember my Mum buying it when I was little but it’s only really during the last couple of years that it’s made an appearance in my makeup bag. I’ve tried other BB creams but I always come back to Clarins.

Since my return from Bootcamp, I’ve basically been curled up on the sofa recovering with a copy of Gone Girl. Also, because I can’t be trusted to go near bars or restaurants yet as I’m likely to ruin all of my hard work, I spent last weekend organising my beauty collection (Note to self: Be more interesting). I featured this little gem in a recent post but I promised a full review as it deserves so much more than a passing mention. Unlike other beauty balms (ahem Laura Mercier) this one doesn’t give your skin a greasy finish. Nor does it result in a tacky pearlescent finish that some BB creams provide. It glides on over your moisturiser and is designed to sit on top of the skin and provide a flawless base. It’s not meant to be fully absorbed into your skin so sweep it on rather rather than rub it in. Clarins Beauty Flash Balm and my Chanel Vitalumiere foundation are a match made in heaven. Skin instantly looks brighter like you’ve spent all day having it buffed and polished in a spa. My favourite thing about this product is that you don’t need to use a lot to get great results. One humble tube of Clarins Beauty Flash Balm usually lasts months.

I tend to use my Clarins Bauty Flash Balm on days when my skin needs a boost. My skin isn’t in the best shape after I basically roasted it in the sun for 10 hours a day at bootcamp last week and I’m also peeling (so hot right now) so I can use all the help I can get. Luckily I have my trusty Beauty Flash Balm to soothe it. While it does give your skin a gorgeous glow, (compliments guarenteed) it is also great to use on an evening as a face mask.

Have you tried Clarins Beauty Balm? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
