Celebrities are like a creature of no other and you probably won’t see them hopping on a Ryan Air flight to discover the delights of the Costa Del Sol. - Be loyal to your airline. Virgin and British Airways have fab reward systems that can have you stacking up the air miles at speed. You are more likely to be given an upgrade if you are a fully fledged airline groupie.
- Look the part: Turning up to the airport in your oldest pair of trackies and your old faithful Uggs is never going to get you in to First Class. Looking good will give you the confidence to ask for an upgrade and you will be glad you made the effort when you find out your sitting next to Kanye or a member of the Kardashians.
- Make friends: Failing all of the above, knowing someone on the ‘inside’ is the simplest way to get that upgrade. This is how I got a First Class ticket to NYC.
Visit a Private Island
It doesn’t get any better than owning your very own stretch of sand or visiting a fellow celeb’s private island.
