The Art of Bestowing a Bouquet (for boys)

Flowers. Boring, unimaginative and predictable. Right? They don’t have to be. Here is a guide to the art of bestowing a bouquet with flair and panache. Flowers are one of the most thoughtful gifts you can give, that is unless your Dad owns a diamond mine.

Here are just a few things you can say with flowers.

I’m So Sorry

Sometimes you just can’t find the right words to say you’re sorry and puppy dog eyes will only get you so far. A beautiful bouquet can help you to execute a successful apology from anywhere in the world and help you to get out of the dog house.  It is clichéd but here are a few ways to put a new twist on an old tradition.

*      Choose her favourite flowers

*      Customise the card

*      Make it a surprise

*      Don’t only give flowers to say ‘I’m sorry’.

There are hundreds of bouquets to choose from that represent different levels of sorry. The bigger the crime the bigger the bouquet.

1) Sorry I forgot your birthday-Saying sorry to us while holding a bouquet will not guarantee forgiveness but apologizing empty handed is a recipe for disaster. Choose a beautiful bouquet from a good florist and present it with our biggest weakness. Chocolates, macaroons or breakfast in bed.

2) Sorry I betrayed you-You did the unthinkable. This is a tricky one. If in doubt, choose the biggest bouquet and don’t even think of sending it alone. Add cupcakes, diamonds and a pair of shiny Loboutins.

Be My Valentine

Flowers make great Valentines Day gifts but year after year this gift can become tiresome.  Make sure you spice it up with flowers that differ each year. Start small as the gesture should become grander with every year that passes.

*      1-3 months-A single thornless rose for a budding relationship-This gift is symbolic of love at first sight. Perfect for the dating stage of a relationship.

*      1 Year+-Be a bit braver. Recruit some help from her friends and find out our favourite flowers.

PS I Love You

We love ‘Just Because’ flowers. If you only take a trip to the florist for birthdays and Valentines, it is time to start working on your creativity. We love flowers for no reason at all. To cheer us up on a bad day or to wish us luck for something scary.
