Collagen and Caviar: The Beauty Must Haves

Untitled #30

Good morning to my lovely readers, this is my first skincare post of 2017! I’ve been thinking of switching up my skincare regime for spring and I’ve recently introduced two key ingredients to my routine; Caviar and Collagen. Skincare is one of my favourite things to shop for and where most of my money goes but what can I say, I like my money where I can see it. It’s been about 4876 years since I wrote a beauty post so I was super excited to sit down and share with you, two of what I consider to be, beauty ingredients to know. There is no place for mediocre beauty buys here, just *what did I ever do without you* products that will give you skin that you want to show off.

So why the need for such luxurious ingredients all of a sudden? I’ve been using a micellar water and a Vichy moisturiser and my skin still felt a little on the dry side and majorly lacking in the glow department.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm (here)

Use it for daily hydration…

First of all, if you know me, there is no way you haven’t heard me harp on about this brand. I’ve blogged about their Tri Enzyme Facial Wash before here which is great if you like a gel cleanser but the pro-collagen cleansing balm will take your glow to a whole new level. There was so much hype around this product that I did fear it wouldn’t live up to my expectations but this is now something I will always have in my beauty cabinet for when I want super smooth, hydrated skin. I have two words. Stockpile. Immediately.

Dior Addict Lip Maximiser

Who knew that Dior did a lip maximiser? This incredible lip product puts every other lip plumper I’ve ever tried in the shade. No it won’t make you look like you’ve had lip fillers but it does make them look a bit more pouty. Some people love this and some people hate it but I’m a huge fan. I picked up one of these recently here and this was the first product I ever tried that had collagen in it. This teeny tiny lip gloss is a great little addition to your makeup bag.

Collagen + Beauty Milk

Your daily collagen top up…

It takes a lot to tempt me away from my morning ginger shots but I’ve found something with even more beauty benefits. This is a great little product packed with lots of beauty boosting ingredients. I was recently sent this to try and I loved it because it contained a lot of ingredients that I already take in one form or another but in one handy drink. It has protein, Vitamin B, Green Tea extract and 5000 mg of collagen. It’s also waaaay cheaper than getting collagen from your skincare. You can buy it half price here. *applauds*

Beauty Pro Collagen Sheet Mask

Use it for a weekly beauty boost…

Am I the only one who is still obsessed with sheet masks? I remember seeing them in Sephora when I was in New York and grabbing one in every flavour. The good news is I’ve found one (here) that you don’t have to go all the way to New York for and it has marine collagen in so it comes with extra anti-aging benefits. And if that wasn’t enough, these little beauties are so much more affordable. You’re welcome ladies.

Advanced Caviar Day Moisturiser

All the anti-aging goodness…

I’ve never used a product that has caviar in it and from first impressions I could tell from the packaging (a shiny silver ball) that this moisturiser from Skin Chemists was seriously fancy. A game changer should be truly incredible and this product has really helped me up my skincare game and you can expect a full review on the blog shortly. I’ve been using the Advanced Caviar day moisturiser for about three weeks now and it’s worth every penny. At £109 I expected to wake up looking like Rosie Huntington Whitely and while it’s still my face I’m waking up to, there are definite improvements. It has a mattifying effect on the skin which is great if you have skin that tends to be a bit shiny from time to time. The moisturiser is a gel like consistency that tingles slightly upon application. I like products that feel like they are working their magic and this one certainly does.

So what’s so great about caviar? Not only is it highly nutritious and moisturising, it also protects the skin against harmful rays and environmental stresses. Did I mention it is packed with antioxidants?

Advanced Caviar Facial Serum

Brighter, tighter skin in a flash…

If like me, you love a serum, this one from Skin Chemists is the ultimate find. This has become part of my everyday skincare routine and I couldn’t recommend it more if you struggle with dull skin. This will encourage a glow out of the most stubborn of skin and at £119 a pop it really should.

Have you tried any of these products? What are your beauty ingredients to know?
