Biscuiteers #What’s In your Tin?

IMG_5214When Biscuiteers challenged me to get creative with my empty biscuit tin, I jumped at the chance. The biscuits were polished off seconds after arrival leaving me with plenty of time to ponder what to do with the tin.

The packaging really is beautiful and it would be a waste to simply throw it away. I  decided to turn mine into a date tin. I love to be spontaneous and I think making time for a date night with your someone special is a great idea. Going to the cinema or getting a take out can get old, but your date tin can ensure that you always have something fun to do. To make your very own date tin, you will need wooden craft sticks, mini pots of paint, a hole punch and coloured card. To start, paint the sticks in colours of your choice.

How cute is this heart hole punch from Hobby Craft? Punch holes in your card and use the hearts to embellish your sticks.

Write a date idea on each stick making sure you include ideas that you’ll both love from pizza and Peroni to fizz and fondue. Yes, a lot of mine are food related!

Date nights are fun but weekends away are even better so don’t forget to include your favourite ideas for your next free weekend on cards. I couldn’t write this post without showing you the original contents of the tin.
